Sample Itinerary
Saffron Valley and Uncovered Desert Adventure
Day 1: Arrival to Casablanca airport and transfer to hotel. Depending on arrival time we can visit Hassan II Mosque. If arrival time is late in the day we will visit the mosque on day 2.
Day 2: We leave Casablanca for a three hours' drive to Marrakech. We check in at your riad accommodations in Marrakech medina. You will meet your local guide after lunch for a half day visit of the medina. Breakfast included.
Day 3: We leave Marrakech behind and drive through the High Atlas range enjoying breathtaking views overlooking beautiful valleys and mountains. Our journey will take us to the beautiful village of Tislit. We will stay overnight at family guesthouse.

Day 4: After an amazing breakfast on roof top terrace overlooking mountains and saffron fields, we will drive to Tislit gorges where you will enjoy the scenic views. We will make our way back to the local family and the village where you will be immersed in the local culture and participate in preparing and cooking local dishes. Enjoy the lunch you have just helped to prepare. After lunch you will have a short walk with your guide to visit neighboring villages and you will learn about the daily life of the family and an opportunity to ask any questions you may have. We will then visit a local weaving workshop where the women will tell you about their daily life and show you the weaving process.Overnight at family guesthouse. Breakfast, lunch, dinner.
Day 5: After breakfast we will drive about 20 minutes to the beautiful village of Tizgui where we will visit the biggest old traditional granary in the area. Locals use to store food at the granary such as barley, wheat, butter, honey and other foods. After our visit to the granary we will walk approximately one hour to a beautiful cascade where we will enjoy a picnic lunch. We will make our way back to the guesthouse. The local family will make a tea ceremony and you will learn about the tea with saffron making process.

Day 6: After breakfast we leave the village of Tislit and drive to the vast and stunning Draa Valley. Millions of palm trees, eco-friendly architecture and mud brick kasbah. We will meet locals and learn about life in the Draa Oasis. Total drive will be five hours, Overnight at Kasbah. Breakfast and dinner.
Day 7: We leave the oasis and head to the non touristy, wild and stunning desert of Echagaga. Our camp is located in Erg Essamar, deep in the extended desert. On our way to our destination we will stop at Tamgrout Village famous for making pottery, tagines, bowls and plates. You will have the opportunity to learn about the pottery making process. Upon your arrival to the desert fringes, you will meet our team and get on camels for a 90 minute ride to your camp. Enjoy a beautiful sunset and dinner. After dinner the Bedouins will make a camp fire and play drums. Breakfast and dinner.
Day 8: Wake up early and enjoy a beautiful desert sunrise. After breakfast, we make our departure from the camp and drive in the desert. We stop for a picnic then continue driving through the anti-atlas mountain range. We will stop to visit lovely Berber villages on the way. Our tour will take us to the beautiful city of Tata. Overnight at hotel. Total drive five hours.

Day 9: We leave Tata city behind and drive approximately 6 hours to Taroudant city (small Marrakech) a non touristy city with huge ramparts and beautiful walls. Overnight at riad.

Day 10: Half day visit of medina in Taroudant City. After lunch we head to a palmery where we will see thousands of palm trees and an ingenious traditional irrigation system. We learn about the process of argan oil extraction at a local women's cooperative. Total drive one hour.

Day 11: We leave Taroudant City and stop in Agadir City by the beach. You will have time to enjoy lunch on your own at one of the restaurants overlooking the Atlantic ocean. After lunch we will have an amazing drive along the coast that will take us to a forest of argan trees.You will have the opportunity to take photos of goats climbing on the argan trees. Overnight in the coastal city of Essaouira at a riad. Total drive seven hours.

Day 12: Half day visit of old part of Essaouira city including the small harbor. You will see small fishing boats coming in with the catch of the day. You can enjoy the fresh catch for lunch. Your guide will help you make arrangements for lunch at a local restaurant . The rest of the day is at your leisure.

Day 13: After lunch we leave Essaouira and head back to Marrakech. Total drive four hours.

Day 14: Full day in Marrakech to enjoy the city on your own. Your guide will be at your disposal to assist and arrange any listed optional activities.
